This page explains the limits of what we offer, so you can decide how much to rely on it. Please read it once. It is short, and it will not change under your feet without a note at the bottom.
The tools are provided as is
The tools on this site are offered as they are, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise that a conversion will be accurate, that a compressed file will look identical to the original, that an edit will preserve every element, or that a result will suit the purpose you have in mind. We do not promise that the site will be available without interruption, or that a particular tool will keep working in every browser, on every operating system, or with every file you feed it.
We test what we can and fix what we find. Software written and maintained by one person is still software written and maintained by one person.
Results vary by input. A text-heavy PDF with embedded fonts behaves differently from a scanned document made of images. A spreadsheet dense with merged cells can survive a round trip through one converter and come out strange through another. When the result matters, check it.
Your files stay on your device, and we cannot recover them
This is the most important paragraph on this page, so we are stating it without decoration.
All processing on PDF24 Tools happens inside your browser. Your files are not uploaded to us, not copied to a server, and not stored anywhere by this site. That is a genuine privacy benefit, and it comes with a genuine consequence: we keep no lasting copy of your file: the 202 browser-based tools never send it to us, and the 11 office conversions delete the upload the moment they finish, so we cannot recover a file for you, because the browser-based tools never gave us a copy and the office conversions delete the upload the moment they finish.
If a merge produces a file you did not expect, if you delete the original after converting, if your browser closes mid-task, or if your device fails, there is no backup on our side to fall back on. Nothing exists in any account, folder, or history that we could restore, because no account exists and no file ever reached us. Keep your own copies. Work on duplicates. Store the originals somewhere safe until you have confirmed that the output is what you wanted.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical or tax advice. The tools format and convert documents; they do not review them. An article on our blog explaining how to compress a scanned contract is an explanation of a technique, not guidance about the contract.
File conversion can change formatting. Fonts get substituted. Spacing shifts. Tables reflow, images resize, page breaks land somewhere new, and metadata or form fields may be dropped. Those changes are usually harmless and occasionally not. Always open and read the result before you sign it, file it, submit it or send it to anyone who depends on it being right. For anything where an error would cost you money, a deadline or a legal position, verify the output and, where it matters, have it checked by a qualified professional.

Any similarity of name is coincidental, and no relationship is claimed. If you arrived here expecting a different project, you are on the wrong site, and we would rather tell you that clearly than let you guess. Do not use these tools on material you do not own or have permission to handle, and do not use the site for anything unlawful. If your use of a tool infringes someone else’s rights, that is your responsibility, not ours.
